A little about us.

Since 1996, Maple Shade Landscaping is the area’s premiere Landscape Architecture design/build firm.

What sets Maple Shade apart from other landscaping companies? We are a Landscape Architecture firm. Our knowledge and experience in land planning, site analysis, grading, and hydrology, as well as horticulture and design combine to bring our clients the best solutions to their landscaping needs. And unlike other landscaping companies, our firm is registered and licensed to practice Landscape Architecture by the state of Pennsylvania.

Maple Shade Landscaping owner John D. Hickey is a 1984 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture. John worked in the field of landscape design and land planning for twelve years before incorporating his own design/build firm. A Registered Landscape Architect since 1987 and Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, John brings all his experience and skills to designing and installing residential and commercial landscapes.

Maple Shade Landscaping co-owner Margaret Hickey is also a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. Although her educational background is far from Landscape Architecture, she has spent the past fifteen years in plant material sales and customer service. As office manager, Margaret handles all of the firm’s administrative duties as well as maintaining it’s commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Foremen Jake Crotsley and Devon Berger supervise our installation and maintenance crews. They are responsible for on-site activities and customer service. Jake and Devon have been with Maple Shade Landscaping since 1999 and 2002, respectively. They, along with all of our employees, are dedicated to total customer satisfaction.

Maple Shade Landscaping is a member in good standing of the Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania chapter of the Better Business Bureau. We will gladly furnish our clients with business references upon request.
